This Sunday marks International Friendship Day. How are you going to participate in this occasion?
You might not know this but the United Nations officially proclaimed 30 July as International Friendship Day last year. While it has been popularly marked on the first Sunday of August in many countries including Singapore and so is different from this officially proclaimed date, the spirit of the occasion is the same.
For me, this Sunday serves as a reminder to cherish the friendships I have, both the long-time and the recent ones. A happy coincidence, I am meeting up with friends I meet regularly in the afternoon and also friends I have not met in a long while in the evening. In a simple way, it will be a special day for me. Of course, every single meet-up with friends presents photo opportunities. I will seize on these and this is how I celebrate International Friendship Day.
Thanks to Sony NEX-F3’s 180º Flip LCD Screen feature, I can seize these photo opportunities to the full because now I can take shots on my own. No more waiting to look for a kind stranger to take picture for us or wasting time trying to position my camera on a suitable surface. No more constraint over how many group pictures we can take (yes, I do feel bad and refrain from asking strangers to take more than two shots). And finally, no more complaints over quality of images taken by a stranger.
Let me share some of those precious moments that Sony NEX-F3 has helped me capture. The moments I would not want to fail to keep in my memory, and in my camera.
